Other Activities

An endless list of activities are on offer in the resort and surrounding area to keep you and your family smiling. These can be arranged by the staff in resort or prior to your arrival. Activities include:

Canyoning & Swimming
A large outdoor heated pool is situated in the village centre and opens through the summer months. Canyoning is also available in the surrounding area where you can leap from cliffs into crystal clear mountain pool navigating ancient gorges as you go.

Climbing
Verbier and Val de Bagne can boast and impressive number of bolted  routes as well as two climbing walls, where climbers of all levels will be able to test themselves. For your safety we recommend hiring a professional mountain guide to introduce you to the magnificent alpine climbs.

Fishing
A number of the mountain lakes and streams are stocked with up to 4 varieties of trout providing excellent sport for both the fly and line fisherman.

Hiking
Over 400km of signed paths extend out through the mountain pastures and high alpine passes. Hikers of all levels will find a route to match their ability from easy strolls along babbling streams and around mirror like lakes to challenging trails along knife edge ridges in the high alpine. Overnight treks can also be arranged utilising the network of welcoming high alpine cabans.

Medran Adventure route
A footpath over 800 m long is suspended through the forest canopy where you move from tree to tree on Nepalese bridges, Tyrolean traverses and clamping stirrups. An 11.5-m climbing tower with four equipped faces is ideal for anyone wanting to try climbing.

Paragliding
Verbier is known around the world for its exceptional flying conditions. The village has 4 take off points and landing zones in the valley providing flights of hours or more. A number of schools operate in Verbier where you can learn to fly, take your licence or just sample the delights of floating in the thermals in a tandem flight.

Tennis
The village has a number of all weather courts located at the sports centre where coaching is available.

Golf
The Les Esserts course winds through the chalets on the slopes overlooking Verbier and commands striking panoramic view of the mighty Combins and Mont Blanc massifs. The highly technical 18 hole course requires extreme precision and the right choice of club for each stroke. It tests every element of a golfer's skill. The course is open to the public and electric buggies are available (club hire available).
